The Ukrainian military has reportedly run out of missiles for the Patriot air-defense system, a critical American-made piece of military hardware that has bolstered the country’s defense against Moscow.
CNN reported the development on Thursday, citing a “source familiar with the situation.”
The U.S. had supplied Ukraine with both the launchers and munitions for years, but shipments slowly ground to a halt. While President Donald Trump had expressed openness to granting Ukraine a license to make Patriot missiles domestically earlier this year, the U.S. has yet to formally issue one.
