Abbot Distinguished Service Professor of International Business and Economics at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, discussed “The Big Shift to Remote Work.” His presentation drew on multiple works, including his paper on “Working from Home Around the World,” with Cevat Giray Aksoy, Jose Maria Barrero, Nicholas Bloom, Mathias Dolls and Pablo Zarate. John Taylor, the Mary and Robert Raymond Professor of Economics at Stanford University and the George P. Shultz Senior Fellow in Economics at the Hoover Institution, was the moderator.
