Georgia sets early-voting record – 188,700 on first day, over 436K in first three days

Georgia reported Thursday a total of 436,000 early votes cast by noon – part of the three-day run that started with a record-breaking number being cast Tuesday, the first day of early voting in the state.

Most of the voters cast their ballots in-person, with about 18,300 mail-in ballots already accepted, according to CBS News.

The first-day number was 188,700 – 53,000 above the first-day total in 2022, according to the Georgia Secretary of State’s Office. The office also said over 16,000 voters have so far accepted absentee ballots.

Early voting continues through Oct. 30, with Election Day on Nov. 3
