President Donald Trump called the sledgehammer attack on an Iwo Jima statue near Marine Corps Base Quantico a “disgrace” after police arrested a man accused of knocking the head off one of the figures.
Trump made the remarks when a reporter asked what his message was to someone who disrespects a memorial honoring fallen Marines and what should happen to the person responsible.

“What he did to that beautiful memorial was terrible. I guess he comes from Mexico,” Trump said. “He came in through the border of Biden, the open border of Biden and we nabbed him.”“But what he did to that beautiful memorial, very important memorial, was a disgrace,” he added.
