Border Patrol Commander-at-Large Greg Bovino and Acting Executive Assoc. Dir. for ICE ERO Marcos Charles held a press conference Sunday afternoon, at roughly the same time Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz and Attorney General Keith Ellison were continuing to inflame the situation at their own press conference. (Bovino’s presser was scheduled first, then Walz scheduled his and started it about a minute before Bovino; how’s that for cooperation and coordination?)
A local Minneapolis journalist asked Bovino, “People in Minnesota want to know when this surge will end. Has there been a date set? Is there a certain number of people you want to apprehend before you decide to ease the surge?”
