Newspaper endorsements don’t carry all of the weight that they used to, but when a newspaper endorses a Republican candidate, people take notice because it doesn’t happen very often.
The media is the media and they are overwhelmingly liberal.
It is in that spirit that people are noticing the fact that the ‘Duluth News Tribune’ has endorsed Republican Michele Tafoya for U.S. Senate in Minnesota. Patrolling the sidelines at NFL games as a reporter for the national television broadcast may not seem like training for elected office. But think about it. Massive and powerful people everywhere, whether coaches, players, or others. Inflated egos galore. All the emotions and intensity of the moment.
