Dallas County voters opened early voting Monday with a turnout that surpassed the county’s first-day totals in the past two presidential elections, according to County Judge Clay Jenkins.
In a social media post on X, Jenkins said that 76,079 voters turned out on October 19, exceeding the previous opening-day record of 60,573 in 2020, Fox 4 KDFW reported.
The reported turnout also exceeded the county’s unofficial first-day total of 56,431 in 2024 by 19,648 voters, an increase of about 35%. Compared with the 2020 opening-day figure, Monday’s count rose by 15,506, or about 26%.
